Our comprehensive referral process ensures a quick and efficient response to meet the needs of each individuals' circumstances.


We will complete a comprehensive assessment with the individual and other significant people in their life that they wish to be involved.

Our referral process is as follows;


  • A screening process is carried out against our admission criteria and we will contact significant people as appropriate.


  • If, following the initial assessment the client is found to be suitable, we will contact the funding authority for confirmation that they are happy for us to proceed with a full assessment. 


  • Following this we will arrange with the client a convenient time to visit and for the individual to visit us at Walton Lodge.


  • We will liaise with other professionals involved in the clients support and organise the funding. 


  • An initial care plan will be completed prior to taking up residence at Walton Lodge with a keyworker being allocated at this point.


  • From Enquiry to Admission would normally be in a time frame of 3 - 4 weeks, however, we are able to facilitate same day admission if there is an emergency situation.


  • We will review all new placements within 6 weeks of admission, to ensure that we continue to meet the needs of the individual.
